Chicago IL January 23 2004--Simply Food Chicago.com™ has launched the first online magazine (www.simplyfoodchicago.com) in the Chicagoland area strictly devoted to building the local food and wine community and allows Chicagoans to experience and discover new recipes and home entertaining ideas, as well as connect with local food and wine merchants, learn about wine and cooking basics, experience fabulous cuisine, exchange recipes and ideas through discussion boards and increase one's cooking repertoire.

Simply Food Chicago.com™ was established out of a frustrating search to find resources on a local level, for home entertaining, gourmet cooking, and culinary event information in the Chicagoland area, " said Malik Binbek, co-founder of Simply Food Chicago.com™. "Our mission is to be the best destination for showcasing local vendors and culinary resources, including restaurants and chefs, bakeries, cheese suppliers, wineries and gourmet markets."

The Simply Food Chicago.com™ site is centered around several exciting features, some of which include pour, a department dedicated to wine and spirit information such as buying and tasting wine, wine jargon and more, another department aptly called cook, which featuring culinary Q & A, advice on choosing fresh vegetables and produce, and other cooking references, an entertaining section which focuses on cooking and entertaining guests at home, and finally, the Culinary Marketplace section, or shop, which will serve as a one-stop culinary directory for Chicago area residents to locate vendors that carry specialty wines and cheeses, custom bakers, gourmet markets, caterers or personal chef services, and just about any thing related to food, eating and home entertaining. Other events that will be listed on the calendar range from wine tastings at local wine boutiques, and other organizations can advertise their food and wine-themed benefits and auctions.
